Why I created Cosmic Starlight
Share
Years ago the New York Times had a famous articled "The 36 Questions That Lead to Love." I remember reading the article when it first came out and finding it fascinating that simply answering a set of questions could help create the kind of intimacy that could lead to love. When my husband and I first got together I looked up the NYT article and had us both go through each of the questions early in our dating life. I enjoyed doing the exercise and something about that night stayed with me.
A Post-Covid World
In the autumn of 2021 I remember nearing the end of the year and thinking that I wanted to start the next year with intention and reflection. I had never been a new year's resolution person and didn't want to go down that path. Instead I thought back to the NYT article exercise of 36 questions and thought wouldn't it be wonderful if I could do the same thing for myself - answer a set of questions to live my life with more intention. I created the first set of prompts within a few weeks based on my experience as a yoga asana and meditation teacher, sound healer, pranic healer, and spiritual student. That New Year's Eve my husband and I filled out the first version printed at UPS.
Fast Forward a Few Years
I had been working on this guided journal (fka Transitions) the last few years, updating it each fall. At the end of 2023 I felt a strong calling to make this into a beautiful physical product and share it with the world. The stars aligned in January and I got started on my journey of creating Cosmic Stralight, a guided end-of-year wellness journal for intentional living. Before I knew it I was holding a prototype of Cosmic Starlight in my hand and launching a Kickstarter campaign. I'm so grateful to have this guided journal for wellness ready to share with the world! Every positive piece of feedback brings a smile to my face and makes my day.
